Sudeep (Kannada: ಸುದೀಪ್) is an actor in Kannada cinema industry. He is from Shimoga, Karnataka. His first movie was Thayava and then he played a supportive role in the movie Prathyartha directed by Sunil Kumar Desai. He then acted in a movie called Sparsha which was also directed by Sunil Kumar Desai and it is the first movie of Sudeep where he is seen in a lead role. In 2003, Sudeep acted in a hit film Huccha which gave him a very big fan following.

He has got Filmfare Award twice consecutive years. Recently he made his debut in Bollywood with movie Phoonk.
