He is a southern superstar. As Vikram steps into Bollywood at the age of 44 with Raavan, he is acutely aware of going where perhaps no Indian actor has gone before - playing the hero in the Hindi version and the villain in the Tamil edition.

He admits to being initially scared to be part of the Hindi version of director Mani Ratnam's Raavan but says his co-star Aishwarya Rai's brilliant performance in the Tamil venture boosted his confidence.

Debutante Madalasa Sharma will be starring opposite actor Darshan in Shourya directed by Sadhu Kokila. Madalasa has earlier debuted in Telugu in the film, Fitting Master, with Allari Naresh. A few stills of the film were released in the media recently. The pretty actress has already finished shooting for most of the film. Three songs of the film are yet to be shot and will begin filming from May 11 at Switzerland. Darshan and Madalasa will be doing three duet songs.

Fitting to the title except a song shoot in Goa, the entire film has been shot in the capital city of Karnataka – Bangalore (Rajadhani of Karnataka) by director Raghu Jaya with new thought to flourish in the business of entertainment.
